St. Bernard of Clairvaux School is a ministry of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Community and is part of the Catholic School System of the Diocese of Dallas. The school is bound by the Handbook of Policies and Procedures for Elementary and Secondary Schools produced by the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Dallas. The Principal of St. Bernard of Clairvaux School reports directly to the Pastor of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Community.
Position
St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic School is a ministry of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Community which falls directly under the administration of the Pastor of the parish and is a parochial school within the Catholic School System of the Diocese of Dallas. The Principal at St. Bernard Catholic School is the chief administrative officer of the school and is the spiritual, educational, and managerial leader subject to the ultimate canonical responsibility entrusted to the pastor.
The principal is responsible not only for the educational program, but also for the financial administration of all school funds overseeing and coordinating all operations and activities according to school goals and vision. These primarily include: working in a Catholic parish setting; management of personnel and resources; overseeing operations and daily schedules; communicating openly with families of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds; oversight of initiatives to promote growth and retention; creating parish unity and Catholic identity.
The School Principal is a member of the Parish Staff of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Community and may be expected to undertake other duties as related to school and parish coordination as requested by the pastor.
