Katherine Moncure Stuart

Hired to the team at The Education Group in 2006 by co-founder and long-term president Mary E. Kesler, Katherine is deeply immersed in the mission and vision of the firm. Having served first as Director of East Coast Placement for The Education Group, Katherine knows firsthand the shifting needs of schools and understands the values and processes that TEG brings to the educational landscape.
Katherine is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia and continued her education at Sweet Briar College where she majored in English and Creative Writing. After Sweet Briar, Katherine served as a Director of Activities, Dorm Parent, and Admissions Assistant at Chatham Hall. She has also served as a board president for an independent preschool and worked at another placement firm as a counselor. With her insider knowledge of independent schools—as a student, faculty member, administrator, board member, and parent—Katherine is uniquely positioned to lead a firm that specializes in thoughtful counsel regarding search, placement and executive coaching needs for independent schools nationwide.
