Rosalind Hamar

Rosalind Hamar has been an educator for more than 40 years. She retired in 2015 after serving for 20 years as Head of School for Marin Horizon School (16 years) and Valley Montessori School (4 years), both in California. Prior to 1995, she was Head of the Upper School at The Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD (4 years).
During her years as a California Head of School, she also served on the boards of Leadership High School (charter), Windrush School, The Berkeley School, and The California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS). She brings a deep understanding of all aspects of independent school leadership and governance. She is eager to share her wisdom and experience In support of other independent schools and school leaders.
