Our Lady of Perpetual Hope welcome John Hickey as their new Principal

John Hickey, has taken on the role of Principal at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) in Dallas, TX. His international experiences make him well-suited for this position, as he aims to contribute to the school's rich legacy and prepare its students for the future.

John began his teaching career in New York City and later taught in several countries, including Israel, Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia. His decision to move to Dallas was influenced by a desire for his children to receive a bilingual education and a Catholic upbringing in the United States. Having previously taught at Catholic schools in the U.S., he is committed to promoting 21st-century skills, particularly in STEM fields, to prepare OLPH students for an uncertain future. He emphasizes the importance of celebrating the Hispanic culture and heritage within the school's community. He believes in personalized and individualized education that draws upon students' cultural strengths and provides them with the best possible education.
