John Hickey, has taken on the role of Principal at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) in Dallas, TX. His international experiences make him well-suited for this position, as he aims to contribute to the school's rich legacy and prepare its students for the future.
Returning to Catholic Education and Leadership
Dr. Lisa Williams, who previously worked in Catholic schools, has returned to Catholic education as the principal of All Saints Catholic School in Far North Dallas. She was initially employed in Catholic schools in Louisiana, California, Las Vegas, and St. Louis before relocating to Texas when her husband was transferred. Williams had been teaching humanities at Plano's Vines High but was drawn back to Catholic education when she learned about the principal vacancy at All Saints.
Former Student returns to Bishop Dunne Catholic School as new President
Gabriel Moreno, a Bishop Dunne Catholic School alumnus from the Class of 2003, has taken over as the school president. Moreno, who has deep roots in the school, including his family's association with Bishop Dunne, returned to the campus for his third tenure, having previously served as a teacher and administrator.
Diocese of Dallas welcomes Dr. Rebecca Hammel to the community
Dr. Rebecca Hammel has become the new superintendent of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Dallas at the start of the school year. She expresses her enthusiasm for the role, emphasizing her belief in the mission of Catholic education. Hammel brings over 30 years of experience in Catholic education, having worked as a teacher, principal, and administrator. Her father's influence as a lifelong Catholic educator played a significant role in her career choice. She is committed to providing high-quality Catholic education and appreciates the standards set by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops.
Mike Jenkins Named Head of School of St. Luke’s Episcopal School
The Board of Trustees is extremely pleased to announce that Michael “Mike” Jenkins has been appointed Head of School, effective July 1, 2024.
